Next Generation Toolkit: Questions Answered

On 16 September 2026, BAFTA Albert launches the Next Generation Toolkit.  The Next Generation Toolkit, which will replace the Current Toolkit from 17 December, is a web-based carbon emissions tracking platform that provides comprehensive forecasting, measurement & reporting, actionable decarbonisation insights and certification for sustainable productions.

To help productions prepare for the launch of the Next Generation Toolkit, and the three-month sunsetting period of the Current Toolkit, BAFTA Albert has produced a series of short videos to support users, as well as guides and decision-making prompts to smooth the way for the transitions.

Have questions? Let’s talk Toolkit

In our Talking Toolkit video, April and Richard from the BAFTA Albert team answer some of the most frequently asked questions we’ve heard so far. The video is quick way to get up to speed on the changes and understand what to expect when the new Toolkit launches.

What’s changing?

Our What’s Changing video takes a closer look at the Next Generation Toolkit, explaining where, how and why things are changing.

It also walks you through what you can do prior to the launch now to prepare.

We’re here to support you

The Next Generation Toolkit launches on 16 September 2026, but users won’t be expected to navigate the change alone.

The Current Toolkit will remain available until 17 December 2026, giving productions time to transition. BAFTA Albert will also be sharing further guidance and resources in the coming weeks and months to help you and your teams get ready.

For now, these videos are a good place to start.
